Kompozition helps organizations make sense of complexity. Large projects and programs often fail because different teams hold different ideas of what success looks like, how systems work, or what priorities matter most. This misalignment leads to rework, delays, rising costs, and outcomes that fall short of expectations.
The Kompozition Platform builds a clear, coherent model of how your organization or project actually works today, what the desired future should look like, and the practical path to get there. This model facilitates all parties getting to a “shared intent” and becomes a single source of truth giving decision-makers clarity, confidence, and control.
Kompozition, a DefOps (Definition Operations) platform, enables large organizations to understand and manage risk effectively to deliver improved system performance and capabilities that are fit for purpose on (or ahead) of schedule and within (or below) budget by getting the requirements “right” at the start.
We achieve this by transforming thousands of fragmented documents, assumptions, and decisions into a shared model of what the system needs to do, how it should operate, and how to achieve success for both planned and current (struggling) projects, whether you’re building critical infrastructure, deploying new technology, or transforming how a system functions.
Using the Kompozition Platform, you create a living, lifecycle model of your mission, operation, project, or organization. It identifies ambiguities and conflicts in requirements and design specifications impacting your desired outcomes and enabling effective project and risk management.

Kompozition provides a unified, repeatable approach to mission engineering and capability development, bridging the gap between intent and implementation.
• The Kompozition Platform uses the Australian developed Behavior Modeling Language, designed to create a unique expressiveness for modeling actors, resources, decisions/actions and their interactions to create a life-cycle Misson Engineering Model
• Uses natural language inputs to describe actors, resources, constraints, and actions
• Uses a Knowledge Graph to store, organize, and tag all data and information
• Creates a true ontology of terms and connected information and data
• Uses warfighter inputs to build and describe mission threads and achieve “shared intent” between the warfighter, the acquirer, and the contractor
• From the mission threads, Kompozition’s proprietary algorithms (AI) build operational architectures, describe resource flows, assess interfaces for viability and continuity, identify risks and ambiguities, generate functional system requirements, and produce test plans for verification of capability fitness for purpose.
• The Komposition Platform is offered as a subscription service and is currently available via the AWS Marketplace.
• The Platform can be deployed to other Cloud providers or to on-prem systems depending upon the customer’s requirements; the Platform is sufficiently lightweight for deployment to a stand-alone laptop if necessary.
• For each license purchased, we provide tokens for training and technical support. For modelers, a five-day training course is sufficient to gain proficiency to use the platform to build models of your mission, operations, project, or organization. The license also includes model viewing rights across the team for model assessment to achieve shared intent on processes and the desired outcomes/effects.
• We offer several different packages for purchasing licenses based on the size of the customer and their individual needs. We also offer limited model building services by its trained and experienced modelers.
• The Kompozition Platform is currently used by a number of different organizations across the Australian Defense Force. We also maintain a dedicated Development Team that routinely upgrades the Platform to improve the ease of use and utility of the Platform as well as to add new features as requested by customers.
