PRODUCTS

  • Defence Accredited Ferrous and Non Ferrous foundry with hundreds of different specification materials able to be manufactured, including trials of HY80 Steel and 20T overhead crane.
  • Machine shop with Manual milling and turning machines and 8 axis CNC milling up to 4.5M x 9M x 2.5 M and CNC turning up to Ø900mm x 3M long with 25T overhead cranes.
  • Fabrication shop with highly certified welders with multiple Defence approved weld procedures and 10T overhead cranes.
  • Dynamic and Static balancing from 100g up to 28T and onsite balancing available.
  • Fitting workshop for assembling all rotating equipment and valves with pressure testing capabilities.
  • Certified Inhouse Non Destructive testing for Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle and Visual Examinations.
  • Metrology lab for Dimensional Inspection with CMM and 3D Scanning with Photogrametry capability with capacity to measure with an accuracy of 0.008mm in a 10m3 envelope.
  • 3D printing capabilities for fast pattern manufacture allowing rapid prototyping and manufacturing.

  • VEEM operates from a 14,700sqm purpose-built fabrication and manufacturing facility, including 10T to 25T overhead cranes through out the facility
  • VEEM employs approximately 180 staff in Australia, including graduates and apprentices, and maintains a highly skilled research and development team in-house
  • NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) ISO 17025 certified for Chemical, Mechanical, Balancing, Dye Penetrant Iuspection and Magnetic Particle Inspection
  • Australia’s largest non-ferrous foundry facility, Defence Certified to produce critical Collins Class Submarine Hull valves and other Submaine and Surface Ship components
  • Modifys and services Special Operations Vehicles for ADF

AVAILABILITY AND SUPPORT

VEEM operates a facility that can offer 24 hour operations if required by the customer. With full CAD/CAM programming and 3D printing on site VEEM can offer rapid prototyping and manufacture of components to strict Defence and Naval Standards. VEEM has manufactured and maintains the Flowserve range of Defence valves and has the Through Life Support contracts to maintain the Collins Class for the RAN.
